Mark and Janette Bischoff – OWNERS and DIRECTORS: 

Founded the KIDS are MUSIC Studio in 1981. Mark and Janette met at Weber State University while singing their way through college on vocal scholarships. They graduated from WSU with degrees in Political Science, Elementary Education, respectively, with an emphasis in Music. Mark and Janette have been soloists in many productions and perform extensively throughout the community. Janette was awarded the Mayor’s Award for the Arts in Ogden as well as Business Woman of the Year. She is trained and licensed in the Kindermusik curriculum. They are the parents of 5 children and 12 grandchildren. With their love of children and music, this is the perfect thing for them to do. They look forward to many more years serving people in the performing arts community!

Pam Higginson - CLASS ACT, Co-Director: 

Pam’s experience is wide and varied. Her love is musical theater. Pam has been with our studio for 17 years. She has performed in productions of Utah Musical Theater, Roger’s Memorial Theater, Terrace Plaza Playhouse, Centerpointe Legacy Theatre and Heritage Theater. With experience in stage, film, and production, Pam brings her expertise to our program in a big way.

LeAnn Ostler - KIDS are MUSIC Children’s Choir, Director, Co-Director of CHORAL EDITION:

LeAnn received her education at Utah State University, graduating with her BA in Music Education. She has taught in the public school system in Utah and Colorado directing choirs and performing groups. LeAnn has directed and participated in Musical Theater in school and community productions and sang in the Colorado Mormon Chorale. She is also trained and licensed in the Kindermusik curriculum and teaches private voice. LeAnn is the mother of 3 boys and 2 girls.

Natalie Wigginton – KIDS are MUSIC Children's Choir, Co-Director, MELODY MAKERS, Director,

                                    SHOWTIME, Co-Director, CHORAL EDITION, Vocal Coach & Choreographer:

Natalie is a graduate of Weber State University with a Bachelor of Integrated Studies in Music, Education and Spanish. She attended WSU on a vocal scholarship as well as a WSU Ambassador Fellowship. She was selected as to sing in WSU’s prestigious “Concerto Night”. She loves all kinds of singing! To her credits: Winner the State National Association of Teachers of Singing competition and Sterling Scholar for Music. Some of her stage roles include: Kathy in "Singin' in the Rain", Emma in "Jekyl and Hyde", and Gertrude in "Suessical the Musical". In addition to teaching MELODY MAKERS and SHOWTIME, Natalie enjoys teaching private lessons. She is the mother of 3 darling children.

Megan Lords - MELODY MAKERS, Co-Director, TINY TONES Instructor: 

Megan is an alumni of the Kids are Music studio. She loves teaching children to love music. She has taught preschool, piano lessons, and also directed Elementary School Choirs.  Megan enjoys bringing music into a child's life and creating programs for children to perform.  She has her degree in Business Management. She is the mother of 3 children – Kaden, Kole and Lucy.  We are thrilled to have Megan as a teacher at our studio!

Erin Roring – TINY TONES and BROADWAY KIDS:

Erin received her education at Utah State University, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Business. Erin has always been involved in music. She has been a member of the Utah Symphony Chorus, Wasatch Master Chorale, and New Horizon's Show Choir. She has taught in her own piano studio for 7 years. Erin has also taught Kindermusik classes.  She enjoys musical theater and dance, as well - having participated in community productions and on the Big Band Swing Team.  Erin is the mother of six children.  We love having Erin on the faculty at KAMAD!

Jessica Gabler - DANCE Instructor:

We are excited to welcome Jessica to our studio as a dance instructor! Jessica graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor's Degree in Dance Performance and Choreography from Weber State University in 2014. She has over 24 years of experience in dance and has been teaching for eight of those years. She is proficient in many different dance styles but specializes in contemporary and modern. Jessica is the recipient of the 2019 Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival's 1st Place People's Choice Award. She loves piecing dances together and cultivating an environment that welcomes creativity in her classes. Jessica is passionate about the art of dance and hopes you will join her! She is newly married to her husband, Conrad, and they live at the mouth of Ogden Canyon with their dog, Django. 

Shae Whitaker – DANCE Instructor:

Shae is an experienced dance teacher who has taught Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop Dance and Tumbling at several dance studios. Shae was the President of the WSU Folk Dance team. She danced with them for 3 years, learning dances from all nationalities around the world. She continues to perform as a guest dancer in their shows. Shae is a student at WSU Majoring in Nursing and Minoring in Dance.  She also works in Surgical Services at McKay Dee as a Surgical Tech. Shae absolutely loves working with kids. She loves watching them grow and learn to love dance as much as she does.  And they certainly love her, too! Shae recently had her first child, a little boy named Leo!

Savannah Coburn - DANCE Instructor:

Savannah started as a student at the KIDS are MUSIC and DANCE studio 13 years ago and we are fortunate to have her continue with our studio as a dance instructor.  Savannah has extensive training and performance experience in dancing, acting, and singing.  She also has experience in cheer, drill, and musical theater.  Some of the roles she has performed are Leisl von Trapp in "The Sound of Music" and Irene Maloy in "Hello Dolly".  As a choreographer for one of her school's musicals, Savannah earned the nomination of top 10 Best Student Choreography at the Utah High School Musical Theater Awards.  She is currently attending Weber State University.

Katie Hurst - Director of Marketing & Promotion:

Katie is a graduate of Weber State University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies and minor in Child and Family Studies. Katie has worked for our studio in several different capacities over the years including teaching, office management, bookkeeping, and costuming. She now joins our staff as Director of Marketing and Promotion. Katie loves people and she loves KIDS are MUSIC and DANCE. She will continue to help with costuming each season.  Katie is the mother of 4 darling children who all love to sing and participate in classes at our studio.

Lisa Galbraith - PIANO Accompanist:

Lisa Galbraith accompanied Choral Edition for 11 years and is very excited to be back as the Choral Edition accompanist after taking a few years off. Lisa graduated from WSU and has taught private piano lessons for 37 years at her home studio in South Ogden. She loves teaching and working with young people. Lisa is always busy playing the piano and accompanies many groups, soloists and instrumentalists. Music is a big part of her life. Lisa has a great husband who supports her music commitments! She has 4 children, two of whom are married, and 3 adorable grandchildren.

Jodi West - PIANO Accompanist:

Jodi West has been an accompanist for many of our choirs. She grew up in a very musical family where she enjoyed performing with her sisters.  Jodi started accompanying choirs when she was 10 yrs old and continued on to accompany the Jr. High and High School Choirs.  She was also Sterling Scholar in Music. Jodi studied piano for several years until she became a teacher herself.  She accompanies the Kids are Music Children's Choir. Jodi has 2 darling children, Kendyll and Emersyn who love to sing and dance, too.  She and her husband Jeff are raising their family in Morgan where music can be heard day and night throughout their home.  She is honored to be a part of the Kids are Music and Dance team!  

Danielle Shenefelt – PIANO Accompanist:

Danielle joined the Kids are Music family in 2012 as an accompanist for the Tiny Tones and Kids are Music Concert Choir. She attended WSU receiving her associate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. She has been playing the piano for over 25 years, was selected as Sterling Scholar of Music, and has taught privately. Danielle is the mother of 2 children. 

Abby Anderson - PIANO Accompanist:

Abby began accompanying her elementary school choir at age eleven. She is a student at South Ogden Junior High where she accompanies the Broadway Show choir, Spartones, and the Spartan choir. She also loves to play for her church choir. She studies classical piano with Sharyl Tucker and Jazz piano from Melanie Shore at the University of Utah. During her free time she enjoys reading, hand lettering, and hanging out with her family.  Her favorite place on earth is Disneyland. 

Marnae Morgan - Office Manager:

You will see Marnae in the studio doing multiple tasks to keep things running smoothly.  She is a former student of the KIDS are MUSIC and DANCE studio, too and has a beautiful Alto voice. Marnae has 3 talented children who participate in classes at our studio.  We certainly appreciate her help as she works to costume the students and help out in several different capacities.  Thank you Marnae!
